28th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Abstract

ATTENTION: all authors that want to submit abstracts to ICONNE should select the area with the name of the conference ICONNE.

The abstract must be between 300 and 400 words, outlining:

  • The objectives,

  • Context,

  • Significance of the study,

  • The methods used,

  • Key results,

  • Conclusions.

Please ensure the abstract does not include any formulas or bibliographic references.

We would like to inform you that the submission of abstracts for COBEM does not require the use of a template. This phase of submission will be conducted directly through the online system, where authors should enter the title, abstract, and keywords in the provided fields.

Please note that no file submission is necessary for the abstract. The system will allow you to input the information in a simplified manner for the submission process.

The paper submission will occur at a later stage, and at that point, the submission of the file will be required according to the specific template, which will be provided shortly. Please wait for the release of the template to ensure your full paper meets all formatting requirements.

We appreciate your understanding and are available for any questions or clarifications.

The process:

  • The author who logs into the ABCM Event Management System and submits the abstract will be considered the Corresponding Author of the article.

  • All co-authors must be listed in the submission, including their full names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses. The review will only begin after all the coauthors accept the submission.

  • The Corresponding Author is responsible for identifying both the Paying Author and the Presenter of the full paper.

  • The abstract will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee to ensure that it aligns with the congress scope and that the selected area and subarea are appropriate for the content. The abstract will either be accepted or rejected based on this review.

Full Paper

  • After communication of the acceptance of the abstract, the authors must prepare and submit a full paper (draft paper) with 6 to 10 pages, following one of the templates provided in MS Word and LaTeX formats.

  • The draft paper will be peer-reviewed by reviewers selected within the area and sub-area of the Symposium associated to the contribution.

  • The peer-review process will be coordinated by the Symposium Program Committee of the area, formed by members of the local host institution and members of the respective ABCM Technical Committee.

  • The reviewing process will result in one of three possible decisions: accepted, accepted with modifications or rejected.

  • When the paper is accepted with modifications, the authors must answer the requests and recommendations made by the reviewers, either implementing them as requested, or contesting them based on justification. In this case, the paper will receive a second review round.

  • When the paper is rejected, the decision is final and it will not receive a new round of revision.
Eventually, the Program Committee may suggest to the author to redirect the contribution to a different Symposium, more appropriate to the work submitted.
