{"id":10,"date":"2016-08-16T15:44:22","date_gmt":"2016-08-16T18:44:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.1.8\/mg\/evr\/dynamic\/?page_id=10"},"modified":"2024-07-10T14:35:43","modified_gmt":"2024-07-10T17:35:43","slug":"welcome","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/eventos.abcm.org.br\/dcds2024\/about\/welcome\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Sixth International Colloquium on Nonlinear Dynamics and Control of Deep Drilling Systems<\/strong> is organized for the first time in Brazil, and will take place in Rio de Janeiro, between July 1st and 3rd, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The event is a follow-up of the previous meetings which have been held at the University of Maryland, USA (2022), Preikestolen, Norway (2018), the University of Minnesota, USA (2014), the Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands (2012), and the University of Liege, Belgium (2009). In order to encourage participation and fruitful discussions, the number of participants is limited to about 30 &#8211; 40 invited researchers.<\/p>\n<p>Advancement of this field, needed to match these increasing demands in drilling practice, requires synergetic efforts from different research communities, in particular, those associated with computational sciences, dynamical systems, nonlinear structural vibrations, geomechanics, drilling technology, and control theory. Moreover, these advancements will require active collaborations between academia and industry.
