Águas de Lindóia is famous for thermal water, hot springs, and spa resorts, and some say that the air is so pure that even the mountains around it often take on the luminous blue tone of its waters. In the opposite direction of most cities worldwide, Águas de Lindóia has almost doubled its green area since the 1950s.
The city is known as one of the most important hydroclimatic centers in the world, and Dr. Francisco Tozzi and Madame Curie have attested to the medicinal properties of its waters. In an area of hills and valleys of the Serra da Mantiqueira, at an average altitude of 945 meters, with a mild climate, Águas de Lindóia has become a major destination for tourism and events.
Its touristic attractions include spa resorts with different hydrotherapies, tours in historic cable cars, various types of regional cheeses and sweets, knitwear at factory prices, rural tourism, off-road tours, thrilling climbing, rappelling, and zip-lines, river surfing and rafting, ecological walks and spectacular views of nature.
The city is easily accessible via well-maintained roads from Viracopos (Campinas, 120 km) and Guarulhos (São Paulo, 160 km) airports.
The Symposium will be hosted at Villa di Mantova Resort Hotel, placed inside a 1,000,000 m2 ecological reserve with groves, woods, mineral water springs, and lakes. The hotel offers many sports activities such as fitness, tennis, beach tennis, beach volleyball, futsal, basketball, soccer, cycling, walking and hiking trails, climbing wall and tree climbing. The hotel offers indoor heated and outdoor mineral water swimming pools, a jacuzzi, dry and wet saunas, and a spa with various therapies and immersion baths for more relaxing activities.
Despite the hotel’s location on the outskirts of the city, its main tourist attractions are only 3 km away.
