Instructions

8th International Symposium on Solid Mechanics

Mecsol 2022’s submission process begins with a brief Abstract.

Abstract instructions

Abstracts must be submitted through ABCM’s web-based conference management system (https://www.sistema.abcm.org.br). The submitting author and all co-authors must be registered in the management system. The Abstract is a text-only entry and must not exceed 400 words. All Abstracts will be evaluated for their proposed contribution and adequacy to the topics of interest listed below.

Draft Paper instructions

Once your Abstract is approved, you will be invited to submit a Draft Paper. Draft Papers can be 5 to 10 pages long, and must include research results. Draft Papers must be formatted according to Mecsol 2022 Guidelines, using either our MS Word or Latex templates, and be submitted as a PDF file of up to 2 MB. All Draft Papers will be evaluated by a panel of reviewers as to their scientific contribution and compliance with the formatting guidelines.

Final Paper instructions

Once your Draft Paper is approved, you will be invited to submit a Final Paper, which is an updated, corrected version of the Draft Paper. Final Papers must comply with the requests made by the reviewer’s on the Draft Paper. Final Papers must be submitted even if the Draft Paper is accepted as is. Only Final Papers – not Draft Papers – will be published in the conference proceedings.

Special issues

Mecsol participants will have the opportunity to submit their revised papers (10-15 pages) for consideration to the book “Springer’s ABCM Series – Mecsol 2022” at no extra charge. Authors will also be able to submit full papers to the Mecsol 2022’s special issue of the Latin American Journal of Solids and Structures (LAJSS).

Please contact the organizing committee if you need assistance with the submission process.
